A massive 81% were considered promoters to the Amazon brand, with a number of the panel going as far as to say that Amazon was one of their favourite brands. Steven, 25, said ‘like most people – Amazon is one of my go-to online retailers’.

Steven, 24, from Ramsgate described Marks and Spencer as “one of the prestigious Great British chains and clothing outlets” - a large amount of the panel associated Marks and Spencer with traditional British culture.

Many felt that BHS need to modernise their brand image, with many commenting that the brand is ‘old-fashioned’ and ‘an old-lady shop’. There was a feeling amongst the panel that they did not find the shops layout or stock very exciting, but had found previous experiences in BHS very chaotic and needs more staffing.

Brand Review: Asda

With almost half of the panel commenting that they regularly shop in Asda, it is definitely a highly ranked supermarket for a large proportion of the panel. On the whole our panel were very happy with Asda; 68% were classed as promoters to the brand, with a number saying that they would always choose Asda over the other leading supermarkets.
